Welcome to Seattle's favorite year round Sunday Market. It was founded in 1990, and modeled after the popular European markets enjoyed by the travelers Jon and Candace Hegeman who loved the vibrancy, color and activities they brought to communities.

By 1999 Fremont Market outgrew its boundaries spawning sister Farmers Markets in Ballard, Madrona, Wallingford and now South Lake Union neighborhoods.

They’ve also grown into monthly happenings at the Magnuson Park Hangar with our monthly Seattle Night Market, Winter Solstice Holiday Market and annual Seattle Street Food Festival.

Our family of marketplaces is an ongoing experiment. We favor common sense, courtesy and intelligence over excessive bureaucracy. Our aim is to provide an accessible, affordable community marketplace for anyone who wants to sell their goods and try their ideas.

Our goal is to help people succeed and make the experience here fun and rewarding for all. We ask for your understanding, cooperation and comments as the markets continue to grow, change and evolve.

The Market is still family owned and operated that strives to support local businesses here in Seattle.
